As can be seen by the first photo (taken after I'd removed the old asbestos garage) the base is over three feet higher
than the driveway. Not only that, but with the severity of the ramp, and a car with a low front spoiler, it proved impossible
to access.

Seven full sized skip loads of concrete and crud later, we were down to an acceptable level, then it was just a case
of levelling it out, putting the insulation boards down and pouring the concrete. 8" round the outsides, 5" in the middle.

Gives you an idea of the amount of stuff we had to shift when you see it like this. The machine was a necessary item.

In case you didn't notice, the width was increased as was the length.
The reason for this is that I wanted to put a workshop in the back, and also to be able to open the doors on the car
once it was in.
As a lot of people are aware, this is nigh on impossible nowadays, especially on the new build houses.
